Weight Loss Challenge Update: Week 2

So far, so good. I’m down about 2.5-3 pounds from my starting weight of 190 pounds as you can see from my weight loss chart. This week went well on all fronts: eating healthy and exercising.

I lifted weights two days this week, and I exercised on the treadmill the other three days. I should probably mention (as I should’ve from the start of this challenge) that I’m exercising on weekdays only. I have chosen to take the weekends off to let my body rest a bit. The healthy diet part of the equation is in full effect 24/7 though, and that’s the most important part of my weight loss program. I use exercise just to speed up the process and get my fat-burning engine kicking into high gear!

For next week, my goal is to widdle my “overweight” self down to 185 pounds. It’s definitely doable, so I’m ready to get at it. By the way, I should correct myself when I called myself overweight, because right now according to my BMI (body mass index), I’m considered just “marginally overweight”…Hey, it’s progress!!! (lol)
