Health Care Bill Passes on Christmas Eve Vote in the Senate

The health care bill that has been lingering in the Senate for several weeks now has finally been passed. President Obama calls this landmark legislation “the the most important piece of social legislation since Social Security passed in the 1930s”. The new bill will reportedly bring health insurance to 30 million Americans who currently don’t have any health coverage. The bill passed 60-39 after both sides were all wasted on egg nog (…Ok, so I made that part up! The vote was actually 60-39 though).
