Peanut Butter Recall: Latest Information

Peanut Butter Recall is a Mess

By now, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, you’ve all heard about the recent peanut butter recall caused by a massive salmonella outbreak across the U.S.  The alleged culprit: Peanut Corporation of America in Blakely, Georgia. This salmonella outbreak stemmed from tainted peanut butter at the plant that has been linked to over 600 people getting sick due to salmonella and is even linked to some deaths.

As of mid-Februrary, over 1,800 peanut butter products have been recalled by the FDA because of possible contamination. Just to be safe, I’d refrain from any type of peanut butter product for awhile, but if you really need to get your peanut butter fix, check out this up-to-date list of product recalls from the FDA.  Check back often – this list is updated every day.
